Settleware Awarded Patent for E-Signing Technology

June 28th, 2012 2 comments

Settleware Secure Services, Inc., a pioneer of the e-signing industry, was recently awarded a patent for its paperless real estate and mortgage transaction technology.

NEWPORT BEACH, CA, June 25, 2012—On June 19, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office expanded Settleware Secure Services, Inc’s. Patent portfolio by awarding the company patent No. 8,204,807 relating to its innovative e-signing technology.

Settleware’s e-signing technology is the first and only end-to-end real estate solution that enables any party involved in a transaction to use electronic and digital signatures to sign documents seamlessly and securely at any time online. It is also the only commercial solution certified by the real estate and mortgage industry, including lenders, secretaries of state, county recorders, MERS eRegistry and Fannie Mae.

Settleware’s technology continues the advancement of paperless technology and transactions throughout various market segments including the real estate and mortgage industries.

With Settleware’s e-signing technology, users do not have to chase down signatures or worry about missing pages. Documents protected by Settleware are 100 percent compliant and tamper sealed to guarantee integrity and confidentiality.

Service providers such as mortgage lenders, real estate agents, escrow settlement agents, and notaries save time and money with the help of Settleware’s e-signing process. They will not misfile, need to re-key or have to track down missing signatures, initials or pages.

“After working in the real estate industry for three decades, I saw that there was a need to streamline real estate and mortgage transactions,” said Rick Triola, founder and CEO of Settleware. “I knew there had to be a better way to conduct business, and Settleware is proud to provide that solution.  This announcement is proof of the novelty of Settlware’s e-signing technology. It is a game-changer because it solves the problem of paper and eliminates the associated stress inherent with typically the largest purchase most consumers would ever make in their lifetime. ‘Pen on paper’ will soon be a thing of the past.”

OMG – Post Office on “Brink of Default”-ZapSign to the Rescue!

September 6th, 2011 No comments

WASHINGTON (AP) – Postmaster General Patrick Donahoe warned that the Postal Service is on “the brink of default” as he battles to keep his agency solvent. Without legislation by Sept. 30, the agency “will default on a mandated $5.5 billion payment to the Treasury”, Donahoe told the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee on Tuesday. Taking a tip from the current administration, “Rule one: Never allow a crisis to go to waste…

We introduced our ZapSign division this summer to alleviate some of the overwhelming burden shouldered by the USPS. Today, we offer the first Global, eco-friendly and purely automated contract delivery service - first class, registered receipt, round trip, and legally binding e-Signature service in less than 5 minutes (members pay only 99 cents). Send sales agreements, contracts, NDA’s, Applications, HR docs, etc. from anywhere to anywhere, no extra charge.  Signing at the airport, on the golf course or while traveling abroad - on your smart phone or tablet – price included..

The Postal Service has lost $7.9 billion in the past two years. It has borrowed money to pay its bills. Mail volume fell 4.5% last year and the Postal Service expects a bigger drop this year.

Most Americans understand that this is not your Daddy’s Postal Service and we’ve known for generations this has got to change. A new USA TODAY/Gallup Poll suggests that most support cutting back mail services — closing post offices, trimming delivery service — rather than raising stamp prices or using taxpayers’ money for a bailout.

Now is the time for all good men (and women) to come to the aid of their country… Don’t Mail it -  Zapsign it!

Stay In The Game

May 5th, 2010 No comments

I would be preaching to the choir if I told you that the Real Estate Industry has changed dramatically over the past several years, actually, it has been changing for decades. When I was an agent back in the 80’s and interest rates soared to 18-19%, we needed to adapt how we did business. For all intents and purposes Bank Loans were non – existent – this is where ‘creative financing’ was developed as we had to do almost anything to keep the deals flowing. I had to take commissions in the form of trust deeds-sometimes as low as fourth position – making offers with diamonds as the down payment and even accepted a car as down payment for a 4 plex I once owned and sold.
Point is that in order to thrive in this and any rapidly changing market is to stay focused and be flexible. By now you are aware that 2010 is the Year of the Short Sale-do you know that every bank is focused on this and getting better at streamlining this process? Are you helping them by having your client’s e-Sign documents to speed up the process and provide strict compliant docs? In my upcoming book ‘Game Changes’ we touch on this but be advised that the pros know how to stay focused, follow the trends and most important-stay in the game!
