Boston, MA (October 15, 2007) — The Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA) today announced the membership and leadership for its technology committees including the Board of Directors Technology Steering Committee (BODTECH), the Residential Technology Steering Committee (RESTECH) and the Residential Technology Providers Forum for the 2007– 2008 membership year.

Robert E. Story, Jr., CMB, MBA’s Vice Chair and President of Seattle Financial Group in Seattle, WA was named Chairman of BODTECH while Edward L. Hurley, Managing Director of Wachovia Securities in Bethesda, MD was named Vice Chair.

Allan Lubitz, Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer of Option One Mortgage Corporation in Irvine, CA, was named Chairman of RESTECH while Rob Lux, Managing Director of Data and Platform Services for GMAC ResCap in Fort Washington, PA was named Vice Chairman.

“I am thrilled to announce the new leadership and membership for MBA’s technology committees,” said Harry Gardner, MBA’s Senior Director of Industry Technology.  “I look forward to working closely with the new BODTECH, RESTECH and Residential Technology Providers Forum over the next year to advance prominent industry technology issues.”

MBA’s BODTECH committee advises the MBA Board of Directors on all technology issues. The committee bridges the RESBOG and COMBOG technology committees and creates the forum for the highest-level technology information exchange. The committee is responsible for and oversees the Secure Identity Services Accreditation Corporation (SISAC) and MISMO subsidiary operations for the association.

RESTECH is the technology steering committee for MBA’s residential members, responsible for identifying and vetting strategic and tactical issues in mortgage technology and making recommendations for policies and initiatives involving technology to MBA’s Residential Board of Governors (RESBOG) and the BODTECH steering committee.

Additionally, MBA’s new Residential Technology Providers Forum has been assembled for 2007-2008. This forum, which provides a voice for the industry’s residential technology software and services providers, is dedicated exclusively to identifying, vetting and communicating pertinent technology related issues to the mortgage industry.
